Castlepoint Numa Commits Support for Youth Sports
Our new initiative, Strength to Lead Canada, will deliver sports infrastructure and bolster youth development in Toronto.
At Castlepoint Numa, we believe that responsible city building looks to the future as much as the present. In that spirit, we’re proud to launch Strength to Lead Canada, a not-for-profit initiative investing in sports infrastructure and supporting youth development.
We believe that sports are an essential platform for youth to engage with their community while developing discipline and confidence. Strength to Lead aims to remove barriers to access and deliver equitable youth sports programming, giving every young person the opportunity to maximise their potential through sports, and to become leaders on and off the field.
In collaboration with established community organisations, our goal is to improve the quality of youth sports infrastructure and programming across the city, working to level up existing sites as well as constructing new facilities from the ground up.
This July, in collaboration with our partner, the Weston Park Baptist Church, we launched Court Builders, a community initiative which is delivering a series of basketball popups through to the end of August to support camps and other community programming.
At the end of August, to celebrate our renovations of Weston Lions Park, and the end of a successful summer of programming, we’ll be hosting our first annual 3v3 Basketball Tournament – we hope to see you there!
